Today is a holiday on the occasion of the birth of Imam Ali (PBUH), and I stayed home. First thing in the morning, Haj Sha'ban-Ali Naqdi, a merchant from Yazd—at whose home I used to hold programs twenty years ago when I went to Yazd for pulpit preaching (menbar)—came and requested help in solving the problem of Mr. Mazloumi, who had imported 300 tons of oil cake (konjaleh) and now they say its import is prohibited. I referred it to the Minister of Agriculture. We played ping-pong for a bit in the courtyard of the house with Mehdi and the guards (Pasdars).

At noon, Hossein Aqa Mar'ashi and his children were our guests. In the evening, Mr. Alviri came with a group of his relatives for the marriage ceremony (aqd) of Mr. Nowrouzi's brother and Khosh-Soultan's daughter. Now I am watching praise for Imam Ali (PBUH) and children's programming on television.
