خاطرات اکبر هاشمی - ۹ فروردین ۱۳۸۱

Before noon, I was reading for the Friday sermons. His sermon on Muharram and Imam Hussein (AS)

I delivered a sermon on Muharram, Imam Hussein, Ashura, the honor and honor of Hussein – which has been designated by the Supreme Leader as the slogan of the year – and a sermon on current issues, including the Arab summit, the aggression against Palestine, criticism of the Arab position on the three Iranian islands and the list of threats of the United States.

Before noon, I was reading for the Friday sermons. I delivered a sermon on Muharram, Imam Hussein (a.s.), Ashura, and the honor and honor of Hussein (a.s.), which has been specified by the Supreme Leader as the slogan of the year, and a sermon on current issues, including the Arab summit, the invasion of Palestine, criticism of the Arab position on the three Iranian islands, and the list of threats of the United States.  In the evening, I completed the revision of the 1983 memoirs [= calm and challenge] for publication.

The Lebanese media has endorsed most of the decisions of the Arab leaders, but revolutionary groups have opposed them, and Israel has officially rejected them. In Syria and Jordan, there have been passionate and angry demonstrations against the decisions of the Arab leaders and the new Israeli aggression, which have clashed with the police. Israeli tanks effectively occupied Ramallah and fired on [Yasser] Arafat's headquarters.

A group of Italians have announced that they are building a human wall in front of Israeli tanks to defend the Palestinian people. The United Nations and most European countries have condemned Israel's new aggression. Since last night, three martyrdom operations have been carried out against Israel, and a number of them have been killed. Israel seems determined to brutally suppress the intifada. This is a very serious crisis and it is a source of embarrassment for the Arab leaders.

In Afghanistan, several American soldiers have been killed and wounded. In Pakistan, U.S. forces have been involved in the pursuit of dissidents with Pakistani forces, and [Pakistani President] Musharraf has previously announced that he will not allow U.S. forces to interfere.

The United States has announced that it supports the Azerbaijani army to defend against Iran and has also signed a military cooperation agreement with Armenia. In the UAE, the wall of a ship repair dock has been broken, leaving 13 people dead and dozens injured. Iraq and Kuwait have reconciled at the Beirut summit.
Today, Effat left for the pilgrimage to Karbala.
