It is raining intermittently today. Until ten in the morning, I wrote down some things for my Nowruz message. The message was recorded. It took about 25 minutes. Dr. [Hasan] Habibi, [first vice president] came. It was decided to start the speaker program again next year. The construction of villas in Saadabad for the guests of the heads of countries for the summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference and the construction of the presidential institution center were discussed. It was decided to stay in Tehran for the days [of Nowruz].

I spoke on the phone with the leader about Sased's currency share [= Defense Industries Organization] and his TV interview today. Mr. [Ali Akbar] Masoudi from Qom insisted by phone to participate in Sheikh Mofid's congress. I told Mr. [Mohammed Hasan] Rahimian, [Head of Shahid Foundation], to give a bigger house to Shahid Beheshti's family.

I did the work until half past five and he came home. I brought a lot of work, which is mostly reading reports and bulletins, to do at home. At night, I asked Ahmad Agha over the phone. He has returned from Spain. He had gone for eye treatment. They have confirmed the same diagnosis of Iran there. I also spoke with Ashikh Hassan Saneyi on the phone. He appealed to silence the people who protested in his hometown in Jarqumia, Isfahan.
