I was at home. In the morning, I spent most of my time studying. Mr. [Mohsen] Rafiq Dost [Minister of IRGC] informed that the operation [Karbala I] has been postponed until next night. In the evening Mr. [Kazim] Khansari [Iranian Ambassador to Libya] came and brought the opinions of the Libyan leaders. They expect us to put pressure on them in favor of Libya regarding the issue of American hostages in Lebanon. He consulted about Mr. Mousavi Ardabili's trip to Libya.

Mr. Rafiq Dost and IRGC Air Defense officials and the group leader who went to China for anti-aircraft and shore-to-sea missile training came to China. We negotiated the location of the missiles and the training of the necessary personnel. It turned out that we cannot use these missiles properly before further training.

Mrs. Akhwan Farshchi and her son Dr. Mohammad came. They told about their problems and asked for help. The doctor was a professor at the university and he found a problem. Also, about our joint property on Gorgan Street, which I said I would like to sell to meet my needs.

At night, Mr. Mohsen Rezaei and [Ali] Shamkhani [commander of IRGC ground forces] informed from the Mehran front that at 10:20 PM, our attack to retake Mehran had started.

The Prime Minister and the Minister of Energy discussed over the phone the problems of fuel shortage and the closure of some power plants and water and electricity cuts. It was decided to arrange for more protection of oil facilities.
