I came to the assembly at eight in the morning. Until nine o'clock, I read the reports. Mr. [Mahmoud Mohammadi] Araqi, the deputy of the Imam's representative in the IRGC, came and gave a report on the situation of the fronts and the IRGC. He said that some commanders are not in favor of the upcoming operation in Mehran and emphasized the necessity of appointing the Imam's representative in the IRGC.

I came to the parliament at eight in the morning. I read the reports until nine o'clock. Mr. [Mahmoud Mohammadi] Iraqi, the representative of the Imam in the IRGC, came and gave a report on the situation of the fronts and the IRGC. He said that some of the commanders are not in favor of the future operations in Mehran and emphasized the necessity of appointing Imam's representative in the IRGC.

Dr. [Mehdi] Ghori, the head of the Social Security Organization, came and told about the investment plans, including in Khuzestan's sugar cane. Mr. Mir Emadi, the [Public] Prosecutor of Tehran came with the cultural affairs officer of the [Islamic Revolution] Committee. They told me the report of the program to fight against moral corruption and hoarding and abuse of government transactions, etc., and they asked me to be a representative to prosecute abuse in government purchases. I introduced Mr. Ismail Shushtri [representative of Qochan].

[Seyd Jalil] Sadr Tabatabai [Yazd representative] came and told about the situation of his constituency. He asked for help for treatment abroad. He was supposed to go to Austria. Dr. [Abdullah] Jasbi came. He gave a report on the status of the Islamic Azad University and asked for help for the military exemption [of eligible students] and the approval of the statute.

The officials of the Islamic Propaganda Organization came. Mr. [Ali Asghar] Baghani gave a report on their work and I also spoke. Mr. Rezaei informed that tonight two missiles are going to hit Kirkuk oil facilities. I said it is better to be in two times, not one time.

The guilds of Tehran, going to the front, came in front of the parliament. I spoke for them. The presiding committee of the parliament had a meeting. We left for Qom at half past five in the afternoon. On our way to Qom, I did an interview in Behesht Zahra at the tomb of the martyrs of the 7th of Tir.

At night, we were the guests of Ayatollah Montazeri with other military leaders. We talked more about war and how to distribute goods. It was agreed that the twenty-five billion tomans requested by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for the war would be borrowed from the [central] bank after obtaining permission from the Imam. I returned to Tehran late. I reached the parliament at one o'clock in the morning and slept.
