A martyr’s father came from Karaj and returned the 160,000 tomans that the army gives to the families of martyrs, to be spent on the war. Messrs. [Esmaeil] Ferdowsipour and [Mohammad Esmaeil] Shoushtari, who had gone to Germany to participate in a seminar of the Union of Islamic Students, came and gave a report and spoke of the German government’s pressure on Iranian Muslim students, and I told the Foreign Ministry to provide assistance to the Turks’ mosque in Hanover, Germany - which I had previously promised and Mr. Sadatian had given one hundred thousand marks-.

Messrs. Mohsen Rezaei and Rahim Safavi came and said that the duties of the Revolutionary Guards are unclear and that this is discouraging. Mr. Safavi, who had come from Lebanon, spoke of the situation of the Syrian army in Lebanon vis-à-vis Israel and the Hezbollah youths. The representatives of Khuzestan came and complained about the Friday Prayer Leader of Ahvaz and some local groups. It was decided that the matter would be investigated.
