After prayer, I used to study at home until half past ten in the morning. I performed the Friday prayer [Tehran].
I spoke about the anti-hijab demonstrations last week and their dealings with the [Islamic Revolution] Committee and the Minister of the Interior, and I also gave a sermon about the life of Imam Sadiq (AS). After the Friday prayer, I went to the Majlis and had lunch there and rested.
At four o'clock in the afternoon, a meeting was held with the army and corps commanders. Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei also arrived [at the meeting]; Discussions continued as yesterday. Officials of construction jihad gave good explanations about the provision of facilities for crossing the water. They gave interesting initiatives in the repair of PMP bridges and beach construction and the use of travesties and canalization.
[By presenting these initiatives], they solved some of the important problems of yesterday's meeting. After they left, the opponents of the plan raised new problems from army officers and IRGC commanders. It was strange that Mr. [Mohsen] Rezaei and Mr. Mousavi Qavidel, who prepared and signed the plan themselves, strongly opposed the plan and almost no one spoke in agreement. Mr. Sayad [Shirazi] is only in favor of the plan, but he did not defend the plan either.
It seems that Mr. Rezaei and the army advisor have another plan in mind and they don't want to say it for now. Because surprise is an important element in the situation of IRGC operations, and telling the plan has the risk of being disclosed, and I also accept confidentiality in this matter, and we do not put pressure on them to tell.
Late at night, we had another meeting with the officials of the camps. In order to sum up the opinions, other suggestions in the implementation of the operation in the region were raised and it was decided that they would be examined within forty-eight hours and give the final opinion on Monday.
We had dinner together in the Majlis and parted ways. One of the commanders of the Corps said privately that because the main commanders of the Corps are against it, they do not allow the supporters of the Corps to give their opinion in the meetings; They forbid even army officers [from expressing favorable opinions]. I came home late.
