I went to the assembly early in the morning. I read the reports. In the afternoon, Mr. [Kamal] Nik Rosh came to the office and insisted a lot on the necessity of changing the government, due to the weakness of its management; But he didn't consider a successor other than me and Mr. Mahdavi Keni because [we don't think this is advisable].

At half past three in the evening, Mr. Sayad Shirazi came and gave explanations about "Arvand's plan", which was not new. It meant to prepare me to deal with the opponents of the plan in today's meeting. At five o'clock, we had a meeting with the presence of the commanders of the divisions operating the future operations and the officials of the camps. Two or three people were in favor and the majority were against the plan. [Ayatollah Khamenei] the president who was supposed to be in the meeting did not participate. The purpose of the meeting was to consult more to convince one side [for or against the plan]. The opponents mostly relied on the problem of [lack of] documents [of Iraqi forces] and crossing [of water] and lack of familiarity with the [enemy's] terrain and lack of battle practice in Nakhlestan, etc., and especially the lack of protection; We discussed until ten o'clock at night. Dinner was served there and we parted ways. I arrived home late.
