We went to Akhtar Hospital to visit several of those wounded in the bombing at the headquarters of the Islamic Republican Party. Two of them, Mr. Safati Dezfuli, representative of Abadan, and Mr. Najafi, representative of Shahreza, were still there, while the others had been discharged. In the afternoon, Mr. Seyyed Mehdi Hashemi, head of the Liberation Movements Office, came and raised the problems he was facing in his work concerning foreign currency, the airport, and the lack of clear regulations.

I gave a very long interview to Saf magazine, the publication of the Army’s Political-Ideological Directorate, about my biography. I also gave an interview to a Swedish radio reporter, mostly about the executions and Mr. Bani-Sadr.

Haj Ahmad Agha Khomeini also came and asked for assistance and fair consideration regarding a case that had arisen involving one of his acquaintances.

A guard came to ask me to recite the marriage formula for his wedding. Since he had not had it registered at the official registry, I postponed it until later. Two employees of Parliament also came to see me about their affairs. I spoke by telephone with Mr. Rajaei and Mr. Bahonar about the next prime minister.

I came home for iftar. My brother Mohammad and his family were our guests. Mr. Fotouhi came and spoke about using the neighboring house and proposed establishing units for rapid oil refining.

Among the foreign news, Israel’s attack on Lebanon, in which more than 300 people were killed and 800 wounded, is a major tragedy. The Arab governments are showing their incompetence.
