After exercising and swimming, I reached the parliament at nine o'clock in the morning. Mr. [Mohammed Hossein] Adeli, our ambassador in Japan, came. He said about the great impact of the Soviet visit and the choice of leadership and the presence of people on the stage in the foreigner's view and policy towards Iran, and the assurance of Iran's stability and the readiness of the Japanese for extensive cooperation.

I had a meeting with [Mr. Yang Hyung-sup] Speaker of the North Korean Parliament in the parliament. The negotiations were formal and friendly. The representatives came and made suggestions about the cabinet. Dr. [Hasan] Habibi came to consult on the final preparation of the constitutional amendment referendum plan and gave his opinions about my future cabinet.

In the evening, Mr. [Mohammed Javad] Irvani [Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance] came. He gave a report on the progress of cooperation plans with the Soviet Union and asked for guidance to continue the work. Mr. [Allameh Mohammad Mahdi] Shamsuddin [Vice President of the Supreme Assembly of Shiites of Lebanon] came. The issues of Lebanon were discussed and the Lebanese groups expressed their satisfaction at last night's meeting at Mahmoud's brother's house. He did not welcome cooperation with Mr. Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Fazlullah and submitted to Iran's views.

The night of the meeting of the heads of forces was in the office of Mr. Mousavi Ardabili. We discussed the [assassination of Abdul Rahman] Ghasemlou, China and internal issues. These days, due to the special circumstances of the time, serious issues are not raised in the summit meeting.
