At ten in the morning, I went to the meeting of the Supreme Council of War Support Staffs. Decisions were made about sending teacher training students and giving loans to support staffs, etc. Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei was sick, I went to visit him. In the afternoon, Colonel Jamali told about the future plan of the ground force. He is going to Geneva.
In the evening, the Assembly of Experts had a meeting. Then the board of experts had a meeting in my office. It was decided to give the prepared document about the leadership of Ayatollah Montazeri to Imam and Mr. Montazeri and spread the news about it.
Captain [Mohammed Hossein] Malekzadegan, the commander of the naval force, came. He reported the unsuccessful attack on Al-Amiya Wharf. He claims to have gained good experience and understood that the existing rangers of the force do not have the supply of such work and should be replaced, but the work of the other department has been good. Syrian ministers came to meet.
We were the guests of the Prime Minister that night, and the discussion was mostly about Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei's speech at the Non-Aligned Congress in Zimbabwe. We also talked about the possible strike of doctors to support the [organization] of the medical system. This evening, [Ibrahim] Esrafilian appealed to me to release Dr. Hafizi Azad and pay attention to their words. I said that after canceling the strike decision, they can come to negotiate. I stayed the night in the parliament.
