The organizers of the Fajr decade ceremony came. I spoke to them and gave instructions for the form and content of the ceremony. Mr. [Mohammadreza] Adinewand came; I had studied grammar with him when I was in high school. He brought someone and asked for help. He himself requested that we appoint the governor of Kohdasht with his proposal.

[Mr. Seyyed Mohammad Reza Hashemi Golpaigani], the Minister of Culture and Higher Education and the deputies came. They gave reports. They had demands to strengthen the government management of higher education and research and scientific staff and to attract Iranian graduates from abroad. Mr. [Mohammed Hasan] Shujaei Far, [Inspector of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution] stayed and gave a report on the construction of a device to combat satellites. Mr. Mohadi came to the IRGC and gave a report on the investigation of the recent issue of the security guards.

Mahdi called from Ashgabat. He said that they offer to use his experience in gas matters; I said it is not necessary. Tonight, TV broadcasted the second part of the special report of my trip to Mazandaran. It is fairly well set up.

I was the guest of Ayatollah Khamenei last night. We discussed the issue of leadership, authority, radio and television, ministry of guidance, employment affairs and the issue of endowment, as well as the purity of the people of the book, which recently Ayatollah Khamenei also commented on purity. They said, Ahmad Agha came and asked for permission to participate in the Supreme Council of National Security and Expediency Discernment Assembly.
