I went to the parliament. I read the reports. Iraq claims to have hit several oil tankers in the Persian Gulf, but only one Greek ship was hit by missiles twice and one Kuwaiti ship was also hit by missiles - probably a mistake - from Iraq.

[Mr. Mohammad Nabi Habibi] the mayor of Tehran and a group of Tehran subway officials came. The status of the subway plan was dealt with. Action was taken to activate it. In the previous laws, [responsibility for the subway project] was in the hands of the Tehran Municipality, and the Revolutionary Council left it in the hands of the Ministry of Interior, and the government board unnecessarily stopped the subway project two or three years ago. Nearly one billion Tomans have been spent and 2.7 km of tunnels have been dug. Modern tunneling machines have been brought in from abroad, but now the metro staff has collapsed. Its budget has been cut and the contract of the French company [Soferto] with the metro has been canceled. The lawsuit is pending in [rescission of the contract in] court.

In the afternoon, Mr. [Hasan] Rouhani reported on the progress of preparations for future operations. The work [preparation for the operation] is behind schedule. In the evening, the [Islamic Republic] party unit of the Majlis had a center meeting. Ayatollah Khamenei spoke.

After Maghrib prayer, I had a meeting in my office with the officials of the Islamic Jihad. He gave a comprehensive report on Iraq's water facilities to create disturbance against Iran on the southern front and told the solutions. Decisions were made in this matter. At night, I stayed in the parliament. I did the backlog.
