We had a public session. The extension of the [human resources] reconstruction law was on the agenda; it was extended for three months,

but the Guardian Council objected and rejected it because the budget had not been secured. The issue of the hijacked French airplane is the topic of the day. They came from the Shemiran Revolutionary Committee and were dissatisfied that, after Mr. Maleki, a leadership had been imposed on them and that the Eftekhari family members had been removed.

In the afternoon, the parliamentary representatives' party caucus held a meeting. We brought some order to the caucus. We elected a presidium, and I assumed the chairmanship; there was discussion about the impeachment of Mr. Nateq [Nouri]. It was decided that party members would not speak as supporters of the impeachment.

I met with the Islamic International Court. A group from Pakistan and several other countries had established a court to address the issue of the Iran-Iraq war; they had come to Iran. Iraq had not allowed them in. In their preliminary statements, they had not observed neutrality. They consulted me about making the court permanent. They would like to have a center in Iran. I said that it would have to be discussed. I recommended that they not rush in their statements so that their neutrality would not be compromised.  In the evening, Effat and Mrs. Motahari came to the Majlis; they had attended a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office for the martyrs of the Prime Minister's Office bombing. They were dissatisfied with the way the meeting had gone.

I came home at night. Effat was a guest at Refah School and came late. Faezeh made an omelet for me. The children had eaten sandwiches for dinner.
