At nine o'clock in the morning, I went to Mr. Beheshti's home. Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Plan and Budget Organization, the Construction Jihad (Jehad-e Sazandegi), and the Prime Minister were gathered. The discussion was about coordinating the work between Jihad and the Ministry of Agriculture. "Service centers" are planned to be created in villages so that gradually a major portion of the Ministry of Agriculture is transferred from the central authority to the villages. They overlap with Jihad's work.

A temporary solution was found. It was agreed that village councils be established and guided by Jihad, and that Jihad also serve as the executive body for agricultural projects.

Together with Mr. Rajai, we went to Friday prayers. There was an extraordinary crowd; on Taleghani Street, people were seated all the way to Palestine Square. We had a discussion with Mr. Rajai along the way. It was decided that closing down ineffective embassies should be paired with activating and reforming other embassies, and that an effort should be made to announce a few effective measures regarding the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the end of the week.

They said it is planned to issue a circular ordering that all portraits in government offices, except for the Imam's picture, be taken down, congregational prayers be held, and women observe hijab.

In the afternoon, Mr. Mohammad Hashemi arrived from Rafsanjan. He had points regarding misplaced trade restrictions, such as the import ban on submersible pumps and rice. It is valid to some extent. I must contact the Ministry of Commerce tomorrow.

A few displaced Iraqis and Khuzestanis also came with a problem; hopefully it will be resolved. Mr. Khamenei came as well, and we had useful discussions about the war situation, the peace delegation, and ongoing affairs.

I prepared the announcement designating the representative on the dispute resolution committee and delivered it to IRIB (Seda va Sima).
