Memoirs of Akbar Hashemi – April 29, 1982

We had a public meeting and the IRGC constitution was in order.  Before the meeting, I talked about the insanity of the statute and the pointlessness of the wave of discontent in the IRGC, which I think is effective.  

In the afternoon Mr. [Abdullah] Dr. Jasbi came and complained about the Prime Minister's lack of attention to his field of work.  

Mr. Etimadian, head of endowment, came and asked me to introduce people to endowment issues during Friday prayers. He also talked about Ayatollah Shariatmadari and endowments in the years before the revolution.

In the evening of the classroom, we had [Islamic Republic Party] positions. Then the party's research committee came and complained that their statistics are not used by the government and the party.

On the first night, we had a meeting with the headquarters of the cultural revolution in the president's office, where they had a plan for the supreme cultural council. To some extent, we reached an agreement that it should be composed of the staff, government representatives and elected professors.

There was a discussion about the [Islamic] Azad University that I have proposed. It is an important task and needs to be explained. Others gradually realize its importance and cooperate. Then I went to see his parents at the house of Mohammad's brotherhood, where their eyes were operated and they are doing well.
