At noon, disabled patients from Qods Hospital came and had complaints about the quality of management under Dr. Sheybani and Ms. Mofidi. In the afternoon, Messrs. Mohajeri and Aghazadeh came, and matters regarding activating the Islamic Republican Party faction in the Islamic Consultative Assembly were discussed and decisions were made. Then we went to the meeting of the party's Central Council. At night, I participated in a joint meeting of the party's executive officials and parliamentary representatives. Some of the time was spent criticizing the party and the newspaper [Jomhuri-ye Eslami].
Mr. Ayat objected to the editorial line of the newspaper, [and] Mr. [Mir-Hossein] Mousavi defended it. Dr. [Hassan] Abbaspour explained points regarding the budget bill and briefed the representatives.
At night, I spoke on the phone with [my son] Mohsen in Belgium. He was doing well. He wanted books, posters, and tapes. Mohsen had gone abroad to continue his education due to the lack of security following my assassination attempt by Forqan, threats against him in his academic environment, and his unwillingness to have bodyguards. He had been accepted in the university entrance exam (Konkur) in Shiraz and was studying there. Now, he has no desire to live in the West, is fiercely loyal to the Islamic Revolution, and is active there with a group of his friends on behalf of the Islamic Republic.
