After the prayer, I went to the assembly. Until half past seven in the morning, I read the reports in my office. The situation on the front is good. Before the order, I condoled the death of the late [Mohammed Taqi] Shariati [father of Dr. Ali Shariati]. I stayed in the parliament until almost noon. Finally, the [Urban Land Bill] did not get the two-thirds vote. The opponents used Ayatollah Montazeri's letter and demanded a public vote so that the representatives would be afraid of opposing Mr. Montazeri's opinion.

At noon, the army commanders came. They brought the ground force operation plan this year and wanted more soldiers and more support. The meeting lasted until three in the afternoon. Today I suddenly had back pain; It is probably caused by a cold.

In the evening, I did not go to the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution and [Society of] Fighting Clergy [Tehran] because of the pending work. The members of the delegation to the United Arab Emirates came to discuss the rescue of about thirty Iranians who are trapped there.

I went home at night. At the end of the night, Mr. Rezaei told the situation of the front over the phone; it is good Mr. [Mustafa] Qadri [Piranshahr representative] informed that the Barzanis carried out extensive operations inside Iraq against the Iraqi army and captured a group of people.
