I went to the parliament at half past six in the morning. There was nothing important in the reports. Because of the opposition that some representatives have with Mr. [Behzad] Nabavi, the matter has a political aspect to itself

I went to the parliament at half past six in the morning. There was nothing important in the reports. In the public meeting, the bill to send students abroad and the plan to extend the trial period of the temporary law of the Ministry of Heavy Industries were discussed. Due to the opposition of some representatives to Mr. [Behzad] Nabavi, the matter has taken on a political aspect.

In the afternoon, the Libyan delegation met me and insisted that I travel to Libya. They are asking for our help to solve the problem they have in Lebanon, which is caused by the absence of Mr. Seyyed Moussa Sadr during his trip to Libya, seven years ago, and they have somehow related the issue of the delivery of missiles to it.

One of the commanders of the IRGC came and criticized the management of the Badr operation and the plan ready to be implemented by Colonel Sayad [Shirazi] and complained about the influence of line relations in the IRGC - especially in Shiraz. In the evening, the officials of the Iraqi prisoner of war camps came and reported about the welfare measures for the prisoners, and I spoke to them in detail and said that the prisoners should be treated with love and respect.

The central council of the [Islamic Republic] party had a meeting. We came to the conclusion that the imam should be asked whether he agrees with the existence of a powerful party or not. If they agree, we will take action for the continuation and reform of the Islamic Republic of Iran Party, and if they do not agree, we will move towards the dissolution or stagnation of the party. At night, there was a discussion with Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei about the new ministers, the war, my trip to Libya, Japan, China, and Eastern Europe, and his trip to India, Pakistan, and Tanzania. I came home late.
