Full Text of the Daily Notes:

Mr. [Gholamhossein Barzgar], the representative of Sepidan, came to visit. He had served as the deputy governor of Fars during the Construction Era and is a member of the [Kargozaran] party. He stated that the situation in the parliament and society is very tense, and the representatives long for your presence, believing that if you were in parliament, things would not be this way. The representatives expect you to help the country in this situation. He informed me that today Mr. [Hossein] Luqmanian, the representative of Hamadan and a member of the Supreme Council of the Consolidation of Unity, was arrested. The representatives are worried and upset. It seems that he insulted the judiciary in his pre-speech address and was summoned to court; since he did not attend, an arrest warrant was issued against him. He is affiliated with the National-Religious groups. Later, I received news that after interrogation, he had been released. The situation was further exacerbated by the summons of [Mr. Rahmatollah Khosravi], the head of the Tehran City Council, the arrest of Hodi Saber, and the suspension of the Qazvin weekly Hadith, along with the arrest of its editor-in-chief, who is the father of Ali Afshari, the political secretary of the Consolidation of Unity Office. He requested that I issue an order to establish a branch of the Islamic Azad University in Sepidan.

A group from the Scientific and Cultural Society of Hafez Velayat from Qom Seminary visited. They expressed concern about the isolation of the seminary, stating that they are still in the mindset of the previous era when clerics were sidelined. They sought assistance for the modernization of the clerical establishment and the seminary. I remarked that a seminary that expects its opinions to be implemented in state affairs must have applied and governmental jurisprudence and education.

Mr. [Behrooz] Bouchehri, the former CEO of the Qeshm Free Zone, came by. He expressed his deep sadness and concern over his dismissal, fearing that his efforts to activate Qeshm would be wasted. He criticized the government for not paying attention to construction and economic development matters and sought advice on accepting invitations from the ministers of oil and industry to cooperate with them.

In the evening, students from the Idea Center of Amir Kabir University came and expressed their concerns about the future of the revolution, providing a report on their research regarding the current state of society and the future of the revolution. I also commented that they have done a good job. At night, I went to Akhtar Hospital for dental correction, visiting Dr. Saeed Lahouti, [Fatemeh's husband], and Dr. [Gholamreza] Mohseni.
