Medical examination of Hashemi’s heart by specialist doctors at the hospital.

Written report by Ataollah Mohajerani, then Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, following remarks by Sheikh Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi, who claimed that the CIA Director came to Iran with a suitcase full of money, to the Chief of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran.

It is worth noting that during that period, general courts existed following the dissolution of the prosecution offices, and later the prosecution system was restored with the amendment of the Law on the Formation of General and Revolutionary Courts.

In the morning, I went to the Heart Hospital for a cardiac examination. Doctors [Ahed] Milani-Nia, [Hassan] Arefi, [Majid] Maleki, [Fereydoun] Noohi, and [Saifollah] Abdi were present. Mohsen and Mehdi also came. An angiography was planned, but Dr. Arefi was against it. After some discussion and consultation, it was decided that another round of preliminary examinations would be conducted.

They performed an electrocardiogram and took images, concluding that the heart condition was normal. It was decided to perform a thallium test on Monday. Over breakfast, Dr. Arefi mentioned that the renovation of the modern heart hospital had been completed, and banks wanted to transfer their shares to the private sector, which he opposed. He also mentioned that the Minister of Health wanted the hospital to be affiliated with Tehran University, which he also disagreed with, and he asked for my assistance.

I returned to Koushk [his office]. Fati and Effat came as well so that Fati could use the pool. The doctor had prescribed swimming as part of her treatment for her hip issue.

It was reported that in a speech, Ayatollah [Mohammad-Taqi] Mesbah [Yazdi] claimed that the former CIA Director came to Iran with suitcases full of dollars, which he distributed to certain media managers, essentially buying them off. This claim has triggered sharp attacks from the press against him. [Ataollah Mohajerani], the Minister of [Culture and] Islamic Guidance, has asked the Revolutionary Court to investigate the matter, considering the accusation a slander.
