Full Text of the Daily Notes:

In the morning, I attended a speech at the conference titled "The Defensive Character of Ali (AS)" at Malek Ashtar University in the Lavizan area. Following the military ceremony, Mr. Mehdi Ghaemi, the head of the political-ideological department of the Ministry of Defense, welcomed us and provided a report on the annual conferences. I delivered an extensive speech on the worldview of Islam, humanity, the universe, awareness, free will, and human responsibility, emphasizing Islam's opposition to obstructing God's path for those who consciously choose. I discussed how the heavenly religions do not impose beliefs but also do not allow obstruction of human choice. I interpreted the military engagements of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Ali (AS) within this framework.

I then went to my office, where Mr. Amir Tehrani, the Parliamentary Deputy from the Ministry of Intelligence, arrived. He reported on the Ministry's efforts to keep the serial murder trials closed and expressed concern about the possibility of capital punishment for the perpetrators. He mentioned that the left faction within the Ministry insisted on a public trial, believing that the defendants might bring the leadership into the discussion in an attempt to save themselves, although Mr. Mustafa Kazemi (Mousavi) still insists that he has obtained permission from Mr. Qorbani Ali Durri Najafabadi, the then Minister of Intelligence.

In the afternoon, Mr. Seyyed Reza Niri from the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation visited. He had questions regarding aid to Palestinians and expressed his dissatisfaction with the Majlis's treatment of the Relief Foundation's budget. Mr. Ali Razini, the former head of the judiciary in Tehran, came to report on the trial of the Hojjatiyeh group, led by Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini Milani, who has attempted to assassinate him. He presented examples of Milani's fraud and forgery, including permits related to Imam's share presented as permits for Ijtihad. He criticized the court's weakness in prosecuting them. He mentioned that he has lost mobility and sensation in his feet. He expressed concern over the country's political, cultural, and economic situation and suggested solutions to prevent further deterioration in leftist media.

There were reports indicating that during President Khatami's trip to Shiraz, the opposing faction aimed to discredit him by publishing numerous photos of him alongside Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh.
