A joint meeting was held with Salman Khodadadi and Jahanbakhsh Mohebbinia, both representatives of the Fifth Parliament with security backgrounds, who encouraged me not to withdraw from the Sixth Parliament.

A group of professors from the Islamic Azad University visited to report on the establishment of the Center for Research on Science and Religion, seeking guidance, to which I provided some advice.

In the afternoon, a group of individuals accused in the serial murders, who were recently released, including [Messrs. They recounted severe mistreatment during their interrogations, expressing deep discontent and serious grievances. Messrs. [Mohsen] Nourbakhsh, [Eshaq] Jahangiri, and Dr. [Mohammad Ali] Najafi, [members of the Central Council of the Executives of Construction Party], also came, suggesting that I should refrain from joining the Parliament.

In the evening, all members of my family came to the Expediency Council, urging me to withdraw from the parliamentary seat, and we had a discussion.

Mr. [Ali] Aghamohammadi, [Deputy of the National Broadcasting Organization], called and reported that during a gathering of the Office for Strengthening Unity at Tehran University, slogans were chanted against me, Mr. [Ahmad] Jannati, the judiciary, and some newspapers, as well as against the leadership, demanding action against them.
