Full Entry of the Day:

Mr. Mahmoud Vaezi, the Deputy for International Affairs at the Strategic Research Center, came to consult regarding the newly established position of Deputy for International Affairs at the Judiciary. We held a meeting with the deputies of the Strategic Research Center. There were disagreements with Dr. Hassan Rouhani, the head of the center, regarding the composition and powers of the technical committee. Dr. Rouhani was not present. We reached an understanding on the subject, contingent upon Dr. Rouhani's acceptance. Mr. Hamid Mirzadeh reported on the preparations for a seminar focused on strategic technology. Mr. Hossein Mehrpour requested that the Assembly of Experts resolve the issues between the Parliament and the Guardian Council regarding the interpretations.

In the afternoon, Mr. Mohammad Mohammadi Reyshahri, the representative of the Supreme Leader and head of Iranian pilgrims, visited. He brought a series of books on the life of Imam Ali (AS) that he recently authored and expressed concern about the current situation in the country, mentioning that he had written two critical letters to the Supreme Leader. He noted that this year, Saudi Arabia allowed the entry of Iranian pilgrims and government caravans for Umrah, with approximately 70,000 individuals having participated, which has caused disorder and disruption in Umrah affairs.

In the evening, Iftikhar hosted a group of women participating in the international seminar of women's unions from Islamic countries at the Assembly of Experts. An Israeli diplomat was assassinated and injured today in Jordan. Yesterday, an Israeli soldier was killed in Gaza by a Palestinian officer. Israel has expressed anger and threatened retaliation, concerned that this trend may spread to other countries.
