Full Text of the Daily Note:

Most of the time was spent studying bulletins. Mr. Masih Mohajeri [the President's advisor and director of the newspaper Jomhouri Eslami] came to discuss the presidential election, issues in the Qom seminary, and relations with Egypt. He mentioned that the newspaper writes harshly against Egypt.

In the afternoon, Mr. [Gholamreza] Manouchehri, the Deputy Minister of Water and Wastewater of the Ministry of Energy, came. He reported on the progress of projects that started during the Reconstruction period. No new projects have begun. He expressed that there are no major concerns regarding water in Tehran. He mentioned that Mr. [Seyyed Mohammad] Khatami does not pay appropriate attention to competent managers, citing as an example that during the inauguration ceremony of the water transfer project to Yazd—despite the project's significant importance—there was no acknowledgment of the responsible officials and managers, but special attention was given to a group of teenagers who performed a musical program, which upset the managers.

In the evening, I returned home, where Mehdi, Yaser, and Fati were also present. Fati mentioned that at the women's rights conference in Spain, many questions were raised following the speech, due to the extensive negative propaganda against Iran.
