Meeting with Mohammadreza Mokhber Dezfuli and Suggestions Regarding the Composition of the Majority in the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council:

Mr. Mohammadreza Mokhber Dezfuli, the head of the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council's advisory committee, came and said that the council had been rendered ineffective and that they might be planning to dissolve it or completely take control of it. He suggested that new members be added in a way that ensures a majority of those with "valuable" viewpoints, considering that individuals coming from the upcoming sixth parliament are likely to be left-leaning.

Meeting with Hadi Manafi and Consultation on Curbing the Press:

Mr. Hadi Manafi came and expressed concern and astonishment at the lack of control over newspapers.

Continuation of Ali Larijani's Election Proposals:

Political and Election Consultations with Mohsen Norbakhsh:

Mr. Mohsen Norbakhsh, the governor of the Central Bank of Iran, came and said that the decision-making process in the government is slow and sluggish, and that the political situation in the country is also bad. He mentioned that the disagreement between the Ministry of Intelligence and the Judiciary has intensified during the trial of Saeed Hajarian's attackers. The ministry, in favor of the left-wing, is seeking more time, while the Judiciary, in favor of the Leader's order to expedite the process, is pushing for speed. There is concern that the left-wing intends to use the delay in the trial, like the chain murders, as a subject for political propaganda.

Meeting with Gholamhossein Rabarpor and a Report on the Trial of Saeed Hajarian's Attackers:

In the afternoon, Mr. Gholamhossein Rabarpor, the head of the Revolutionary Court, came. He gave a report on the special court for the trial of the attackers and said that Mr. Abbasali Alizadeh, the head of the Tehran province judiciary, has bypassed the Revolutionary Court with a proposal for a special court. He has heard that they intend to replace him. He said that in Mecca, a university professor from Mauritania, upon learning that he was Iranian, expressed concern about the deviation of the revolution in Iran.

Meeting with Morteza Alviri, the Mayor of Tehran:

Mr. Morteza Alviri, the mayor of Tehran, came and said that construction in Tehran is booming. He criticized some of the hardline members of the Tehran City Council.

Meeting with Seyed Taha Hashemi and Concerns about the Office of the Leader and the Qom Seminary:

Mr. Taha Hashemi, the editor-in-chief of the Entekhab newspaper and a representative from Qom, came. He criticized the Office of the Leader for its strictness regarding the content of the Entekhab newspaper and also complained about the Assembly of Experts of the Qom Seminary. He said that Mr. Abdolreza Eizadpanah, the deputy for social affairs in the Judiciary, is upset with the Judiciary's inaction and is considering returning to Qom. I suggested that they go and also strengthen the morale of Mr. Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, the head of the Judiciary, to counter political pressures.

Consultation with Seyed Ali Asghar Hejazi Regarding Newspapers and the Leader's Statements:

Mr. Seyed Ali Asghar Hejazi, from the Office of the Leader, came. He discussed the problems with newspapers and their remedies, providing many examples of insults against the Leader. I also mentioned instances of opposition to the Leader's statements.
