Earthquake in Southern Khorasan.

I was at the Koushk office. Fati came for hydrotherapy. Mr. [Ahmad] Jannati, [Secretary of the Guardian Council], called and issued a security warning, following a notification from the IRGC regarding the entry of several Mojahedin-e-Khalq assassination teams into the country. Mr. [Alireza] Mahjoub from the Workers' House requested that I not cancel my attendance at the workers' conference. The security team mentioned they could not secure two events on the same day.

In the afternoon, Dr. [Ahad] Milani Nia came. He attached a Holter monitor to my body to track my heart's activity for 24 hours and provided a report on the blood refinery situation. Previously, we built the refinery without the virus elimination section, but as the virus elimination technology became common in the U.S. and other places, hemophilia patients in Iran protested, and the refinery was shut down, leading to the import of blood products.

Recently, Dr. Milani Nia has been assigned the responsibility and has prepared a contract to expand the refinery, including virus elimination. For now, the refinery’s products are sent to Germany for virus elimination.

A group of Qom seminary students staged a sit-in at Masjid A'zam to protest the insults against Mr. [Mohammad-Taqi] Mesbah [Yazdi] in the newspapers, particularly the offensive cartoon published in Azad newspaper. The protesters, in their first statement, called for the dismissal of [Mr. Ataollah Mohajerani], the Minister of [Culture and] Islamic Guidance.

Their demands go beyond just the issue of insults toward one individual and extend to calls for reform in the country's cultural management. [Hussein Mokhtarian], the editor of Azad, and [Nikahang Kowsar], its cartoonist, have both issued apologies.

In southern Kashmar, there was a 4.5 magnitude earthquake, resulting in one fatality and 15 injuries.
