Report from Mohsen Hashemi regarding the delay by the Prosecutor of the Special Clerical Court in sending Sheikh Abdullah Nouri to the hospital for treatment.

Developments related to the review of parliamentary credentials in the Sixth Parliament.

I spent the day at home, mostly reading. I went through bulletins, news reports, and an atlas of Iranian history, as well as a story based on a letter from Salman Rushdie to Libération, in which he laments his situation.

Mohsen [Hashemi, Head of the Office of the Expediency Discernment Council] mentioned that despite follow-ups, Mr. [Gholam-Hossein] Mohseni Ejei [Prosecutor of the Special Clerical Court] still has not approved the transfer of Mr. Abdullah Nouri [from prison] to the hospital. Dr. [Seyed Mahmoud] Tabatabaei, who examined him, called and said that he must be sent to the hospital.

News came that in the parliament, rival factions have challenged the credentials of many of their opposing members as a reciprocal move. If no compromise is reached, it will consume a significant amount of parliamentary time.
