Full text of the daily report:For the anniversary ceremony of the passing, I went to Imam Khomeini's shrine. Hassan Agha [Khomeini] welcomed me, and the leader gave a long speech; there was a good crowd. I asked Ayatollah Khamenei about the news related to the United States regarding the possibility of an assassination attempt [on the leader]. He said it had been conveyed to him through the government. I asked Mr. [Seyed Mohammad] Khatami, [the president], and he said that a week ago, American agents in Switzerland had verbally informed Iranian agents that they received news indicating that someone intended to target the leader during the ceremony on June 4th (today) with a sniper rifle. They were told to officially report the information and also provide some leads. A couple of days prior, through the Swiss embassy, which represents U.S. interests, they officially reiterated the information and added that they found the news unreliable; it was likely an attempt to undermine the ceremony or to project a friendly gesture. The strictness of the security personnel in controlling the crowd also affected the intimacy of the speaking area. The High Court of Palestine has ruled for the release of Ahmad Saadat, who had been convicted of the assassination of an Israeli minister, but Israel has opposed his release and the Palestinian Authority is not implementing the ruling of the High Court. In Greece, a huge demonstration has been held in front of the Radio America building, against America's propaganda policies, with people calling for the shutdown of this radio.Related news Memories of Akbar Hashemi - June 3, 2002 Take less than a minute, register and share your opinion under this post.Insulting or inciting messages will be deleted.Sign UpComming Up Next Memories of Akbar Hashemi - June 11, 2002خواندن 3 minutes Memories of Akbar Hashemi - June 9, 2002خواندن 2 minutes Memories of Akbar Hashemi - June 9, 2002خواندن 3 minutes Memories of Akbar Hashemi - June 7, 2002خواندن 2 minutes Memories of Akbar Hashemi - June 7, 2002خواندن 2 minutesMost ReadMemories of Akbar Hashemi - February 20, 2000 - Meeting with Abdullah Jasbi and Concerns About Election ResultsMovie / Where is Commander Morteza Talaie?Akbar Hashemi's memoirs - 1999 September 10 - The two-person political negotiations with Vaez Tabasi continued until he was escorted to Tehran, where Hashemi apparently decided to seriously participate in the sixth parliamentary elections. The records of the recent periods of the Islamic Council showed that the parliament is not in charge of affairs and cannot interfere or pass resolutions on the authority of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces at any level, let alone supervise. What will be the future of Iran with the announced candidates for the presidential election? / Conversation with Dr. Taghi Azad AramakiCan I feel tired with you?A Basiji veterinarian was appointed head of the health network instead of an otolaryngologist.Akbar Hashemi's memoirs - 1999 September 5 - The meeting of the senior managers of the judiciary with Hashemi Rafsanjani and their complaint about the neglect of Hashemi Shahroudi, the new head of the judiciary, continues.Memories of Akbar Hashemi - 1999 September 7 - In continuation of the efforts of the late Vaez Tabasi, who used to encourage Hashemi to participate in the elections in frequent meetings, this time he also met with Hashemi.Akbar Hashemi's memories - 1999 September 9 - Continued visits to the belongings, buildings and works of Astan Quds
