The creators and producers of the film "My Favorite Cake" were sentenced to suspended imprisonment and a fine on charges of "propaganda against the state"

Behtash Saneiha, who directed the film "My Beloved Cake" with Maryam Moghaddam, posted on his Instagram page the details of the sentences issued to the directors (the first and second row defendants) and Gholamreza Mousavi, the film's producer, as the third defendant.

Accordingly, Branch 26 of Tehran's Revolutionary Court sentenced Behtash Saneiha and Maryam Moghaddam, two directors of the film, to 14 months in prison (suspended for five years) and a fine of 40 million tomans on charges of "propaganda against the state."

The three individuals were also sentenced to one year in prison (suspension for five years) and confiscation of all equipment on the charge of "participation in the production of vulgar content", and on the charge of "distributing a film without a screening license", they were sentenced to pay a fine of 20 million tomans and confiscate all related equipment.
