External threats had become serious. I spoke with the Leader and posed the question: What should we do? The Leader responded with a point I often emphasized — the way to counter these dangers is by creating solidarity among the people and officials. We decided that the closest step we could take was through the parliamentary elections. The Leader made a significant statement and said: *“I am not at all worried about the freedom of the elections.”*

I told him: Announce this publicly, and summon Mr. Jannati and the Minister of the Interior, warning them not to act beyond the law. He said: *“I will address it in due time.”*

During the registration period, he reiterated: *“I am still committed to my beliefs.”*

I don't know what reports, comments, or arguments are being presented that prevent the situation from being rectified. If there is still anyone in the country capable of implementing the principles with which we drafted the Constitution, it is the Leader.

When we didn’t set a timeline during the Constitutional review, he told me: *“I feel suffocated. It would have been better if you had set a ten-year period, so that the people wouldn’t feel stifled either.”*
