Elaheh's residence is in the southwest of Tehran, she studied accounting, helped with the family's expenses, and her Instagram posts made her a relatable figure. After her murder, many narratives about safety on various urban routes and ways to protect oneself emerged on social media, groups, and communities; a re-examination of an everyday event for women and men in Tehran.

Part of this insecurity is due to the low number of taxis and buses on various routes, especially from Tehran to the surrounding cities.

An example of this is the Western Terminal (Azadi Square); a terminal that serves a high volume of passengers and taxi and bus routes to surrounding cities, but after 9 PM, public transportation options are no longer available at least on these routes, and only the BRT line to Tehranpars and Khavaran remains active.

One of the women living in the Ibrahimabad neighborhood in southwest Tehran says that due to her job, she sometimes arrives at the Azadi terminal after 9 PM. If she arrives at the Azadi bus terminal later than 9 PM and doesn't have money for online taxis, she has to use passing taxis, especially on a route that has many side streets.
