The forbidden of the forbidden in the eyes of Ali
Obligation of obligations in the eyes of our rulers

It is stated in Nahj al-Balagha that after taking many oaths in the name of God, Ali said that he would not commit such cruelty if they gave him the key to the treasures of the world in exchange for taking a grain of barley from an ant's mouth.
Cruelty is Ali's red line.

He considered a ruler who is not just and fair to be less than a sheep's nose.
Umar then appointed five people to appoint a ruler and successor from among themselves. Those five agreed on Ali on the condition of following the tradition of the two previous caliphs in addition to the tradition of the Messenger of God. Ali did not agree to a lie for expediency and said I only follow the Sunnah of Payamir and the government came to Usman.

He did not consider the acquisition of government and power as the most important obligations, nor the preservation of it, for which he allows expedient or oppressive lies and deception.

When the people of Kufa did not respond to his call for jihad with Muawiyah, once under the pretext of picking crops and another time because of cold and heat, he said to them, I know that by creating an atmosphere of terror, you will all become my subjects and they will do the same after me (Bani Umayyah). But I am not one to corrupt myself to correct you.

This sentence means that the goal does not justify the means.
That is, I will not abandon moral frameworks for the survival of the government.

It means that maintaining moral frameworks is more important than the government. If the government commits oppression for its own survival, frightens people and creates an atmosphere of terror, steals from people's pockets by printing unbacked bills, and does not allow people to gather and protest, its agents will kill the people. kicking and kicking in the street and... this government is the opposite of the government of Ali (PBUH), whoever is in charge of the government now. You may not know, but Timur Lang, who had the highest number of murders and robberies in history, was a mujtahid and guardian of the whole Quran and he did all his murders and robberies in a religious form like Jihad.
On 400 mules, he carried pieces of a wooden mosque with him to offer prayers in the mosque and in congregations in the desert.

1400 years after the rule of Ali (a.s.), a mujtahid cleric with a wrong analysis, instead of considering the preservation of morality and justice as the greatest and most important obligation, he considered the preservation of power and system as an even more important obligation than preserving the life of the absent Imam!

This wrong thinking had a very bitter fruit, on the one hand, the government was oppressive and on the other hand, because he called his government Islamic, he made the name of the religion evil and ugly.

1) "You know that there is no good for you except the sword (the whip), but we are not corrupting myself without the good of others"
I found out from research that you people of Kufa do not go to the right path except with the sword (allusion to the atmosphere of terror), but I will not corrupt myself to correct others.
