The Swedish Foreign Ministry summoned Iran's ambassador to Sweden and demanded the immediate release of Ahmadreza Djalali, a dual national prisoner, on humanitarian grounds and the provision of medical services to him.

The ministry also called for a meeting with Djalali in prison.

The Swedish Foreign Ministry also objected to the issuance of the death sentence for the two dual national prisoners, and called on Tehran not to carry out the sentence.
