Nikzad: I humbly apologize to the people.

Statement by Ali Nikzad, Vice President of the Parliament, regarding the accident of his son:

My child had an unintentional accident with one of the hardworking traffic police officers on the fourth of Khordad in the street, and did not flee the scene nor act aggressively, but immediately took steps to transfer the said officer to the hospital to ensure his health, and there was no fleeing or disregard for the condition of the police officer. Furthermore, legal action has been taken regarding the vehicle and the driver.

I have been personally following up on all the treatment and improvement stages of the traffic police injured in the incident since the moment it occurred, and I have encountered their generosity in this regard.

I find it necessary to emphasize that the law is binding for everyone and has no exceptions, and the authority of the FARA is a red line for everyone. Since foreign enemies have used the media wave surrounding this issue as a pretext, I want to emphasize that I will sacrifice my life, property, and honor to preserve this revolution. It is my heartfelt belief and conviction that we must spend for the revolution, not make the revolution spend for us and our families.

The dignity of the police, law, and country is not only mandatory for me, as an officer overseeing the enforcement of the law, but deviating from it is forbidden for myself and my family.

Therefore, I humbly apologize to the dear people who may have felt discrimination due to manipulated narratives. I find it necessary to declare that this servant of yours considers compliance with the law to be obligatory and bows before it, believing that everyone must be equal before the law and that no one is exempt from this important principle.

It is essential for all of us to preserve the authority of the brave and dedicated police of Islamic Iran and its staff. Anyone in any position who intends to undermine the esteemed status of the honorable law enforcement forces of the country is condemned in any situation and must be held accountable.
