After several weeks of fiery speeches and interviews by a number of Parliament members, the issue of investigation and inquiry into Ayandeh Bank was finally approved by the Parliament's Economic Commission last week, and subsequently, it will be referred to the open session of the Parliament to complete the legal procedures.
This is the first time that the Parliament has approved an inquiry into a private bank. Of course, previously and in the last Parliament, inquiries into private banks and privatized state banks were reviewed by two separate boards, but the summarization and reading of their report did not reach the end of the previous Parliament's term and were practically shelved.
