According to an image of this notice shared by Amir Raeesian, the lawyer of Mohammad Ghobadlou, this "verdict will be carried out on Tuesday, January 23rd."

Amir Raeesian, the lawyer, wrote on the social media platform X on Monday, January 22: "The qisas (retribution) sentence for Mohammad Ghobadlou was overturned in the First Branch of the Supreme Court, and the case was referred to an equivalent branch (Branch Five of the Tehran Criminal Court) where a proper ruling was supposed to be issued, pending further medical examinations by the forensic medical authority."

According to Mohammad Ghobadlou’s lawyer, "After this ruling, the case did not reach Branch Five of the Tehran Criminal Court for months, and this branch requested guidance from the Supreme Court."

He added that the First Branch of the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic, in the 'latest notice,' had declared that the review is currently on hold and dependent on the outcome of the proceedings in Branch 39. He then wrote: "Now, this is the notice of execution, which was sent to us just a few hours ago!"

The lawyer emphasized that "the execution of Mohammad Ghobadlou has no legal authorization and undoubtedly amounts to murder."

Mohammad Ghobadlou, a young protester arrested during the 2022 nationwide protests, was accused of "corruption on earth" through "a widespread attack against law enforcement motorcycle officers by ramming a white Peykan car, which resulted in the death of Officer Vahid Karampour Hassanvand and the injury of five police officers."
