Contrary to all cases and media analyses, the Temporary Leadership Council as well as the third leader of the Islamic Republic, in the capacity of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, have not issued a decree appointing Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi as the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC. He has received no promotion in rank and remains a Brigadier General rather than a Major General, and he has signed on behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC.
