Kuwaiti newspaper claims: Lavrov has suggested to Iran that instead of negotiating with Europe, Trump and Pezeshkian should meet

The Jomhuri Eslami newspaper wrote:

The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida claimed that during his recent visit to Tehran, the Russian foreign minister suggested that Moscow play the role of mediator between Iran and the Donald Trump administration to return to negotiations.

Lavrov has advised Iran to abandon negotiations with France, Germany, and Britain and negotiate directly with Trump. According to Al-Jarida, in contrast, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Lavrov that Iran would enter the talks under only three conditions. First, the negotiations should be without preconditions, second, the U.S. sanctions against Iran should be suspended, and third, the threats should be stopped.
