"Ayatollah Khamenei," the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated in speeches delivered in Shahrivar 1374 (September 14, 1995) during a "Collective Meeting of Injured Athlete Veterans," that:

"This nation belongs to Hezbollah members, and the future of this nation will be shaped by Hezbollah members and revolutionary and believer forces. Wherever a major problem arises, they must come and solve it. With the grace of God, this is how it will be."
