Last night, I had a joint video conference with the foreign ministers of three European countries (E3) and the European Union's foreign policy representative, during which I clearly stated the following points: It was the United States that withdrew from an agreement reached in 2015 over two years with the coordination of the European Union — not Iran; and it was the U.S. that left the negotiating table in June this year and chose the military option instead — not Iran.Any new round of negotiations will only be possible when the other party is ready for a fair, balanced nuclear agreement based on mutual interests.If the European Union and the three European countries want to play a role, they must act responsibly and abandon the worn-out policy of threats and pressure, including the threat to implement the 'snapback' mechanism, which has no ethical or legal basis.
