Condolences message from Pezeshkian in response to the passing of Dr. Akasheh.

The president expressed condolences in a message on the passing of Dr. Okasha, a pioneer in the field of seismology and an influential scientific figure in the country. The text of the president's message is as follows; 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Verily we belong to Allah and verily to Him we shall return. I extend my condolences on the passing of the late Dr. Okasha, a pioneer in the field of seismology and an influential scientific figure in the country, to his respected family and the scientific community of the nation. The research and understanding of the seismicity of Iran, the training of researchers and students, and the promotion of scientific thinking about earthquakes are among the valuable achievements of this esteemed professor, which will surely keep his memory alive among the scientific community of the country as well as all those interested and active in this field. I pray to Almighty God for mercy and divine pleasure for the deceased and for patience and health for all his survivors. Date: 18/03/2025
