The members of the Expediency Council's Joint Commission after hearing the results of the investigations 

The meeting of the Joint Commission of the Expediency Council was held on the subject of dealing with the remaining issues of the controversial bill of the Parliament and the Guardian Council regarding Iran's accession to the CFT Convention.

The meeting of the Joint Commission of the Assembly, chaired by Sheikh Sadegh Amoli Larijani, was held in the presence of representatives of the "Economic", "Political, Defense and Security", "Legal and Judicial" Commissions of the Assembly, the Chairman of the National Security Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the Acting Minister of Economy and Finance, the Governor of the Central Bank, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the subject of the legal effects of the accession of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations Convention against the Financing of Terrorism (CFT).

The members of the Expediency Council's Joint Commission, after listening to the results of the investigations of the corresponding working group of this commission in the secretariat of the Expediency Council, went on to exchange views on 10 of the objections of the Guardian Council regarding the legal effects of joining the Convention on the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism and expressing their views on whether or not to accept this accession.

Afterwards, the members of the Joint Commission exchanged views and discussed the issue of the Islamic Republic's right of reservation regarding this convention and the objections of the Guardian Council.

Accordingly, the resolution of the Joint Commission regarding Iran's accession to the CFT Convention will be presented to the Assembly and after the final review by the members of the Assembly, a vote will be taken on the desired interest of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
