Article 62 clearly states that the elections for the Islamic Consultative Assembly are to be conducted in a single stage and directly through secret ballot, whereas the aforementioned elections are conducted in two stages: the first stage involves the confirmation and selection of candidates, and then those who pass the Guardian Council's vetting are presented to the public for voting.
