And this letter also reaches the person of Ayatollah himself, and according to the account of the person of the then Leader of the Islamic Republic.
It seems that in 2004, Alireza Nourizadeh, a politician and political-media activist residing abroad, wrote a letter directly to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and this letter also reached the person of Ayatollah himself, and according to the account of the person of the then Leader of the Islamic Republic:
"Expressing sorrow over being homeless and far from the homeland, and confessing his error, he requested pardon for returning to the homeland."
But what was the reaction of the second Leader of the Islamic Republic to this letter?
The Ayatollah's interpretation at the time of receiving the said letter was that it was a plan on the part of America that wanted to bring capable anti-revolutionary individuals into Iran in some way. He analyzed the coming of Ayatollahzadeh Seyyed Mahmoud Qomi (who entered Iran with the coordination of the Ministry of Intelligence and with a grant of safety, but was subjected to judicial action by the Special Prosecutor's Office for the Clergy) and Mohammad Modir Shanehchi with this same assumption, and added that America's goal is a larger program similar to Georgia and Ukraine for Iran.
