The Public Relations office of SATRA (the Media Regulatory Authority) has provided clarifications regarding Adel Ferdowsipour's program on Aparat.
In response to the publication of an audio recording from one of the employees of the Media Regulatory Authority, shared by the Aparat platform’s manager regarding a live sports program on the platform, SATRA informs that according to Section 4 of the single article "Determining the Requirements for Organizing the Audio and Visual Media Sector," the production and broadcasting of "live" programs, as well as the issuance of permits and supervision of "live broadcasting" in cyberspace, is the responsibility of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
Since the aforementioned platform has not received a live broadcasting permit from IRIB, a warning has been issued regarding its live programs, including the mentioned one.
The Aparat platform's disregard for live broadcasting regulations has consistently caused complaints from other platforms that hold SATRA licenses. The fair enforcement of regulations, without discrimination, is rightly requested by other platforms.
Thus, SATRA sees it as its responsibility to carry out fair regulation and support legal live broadcasts, in response to the rightful demands of other user-driven media in the country, and to protect licensed platforms. SATRA is committed to preventing unlicensed actions from platforms without any discrimination.
This message from SATRA to the platform in question follows this principle and will be conveyed to all platforms that commit similar violations, regardless of the type of program. This matter is unrelated to the program expert.
