At the end of this day, state television broadcast several scenes claiming that protesters were insulting the mourning for Imam Hussein.

On Ashura in 2009, the voices of protesters who chanted 'Ya Hussein, Mir Hussein' were heard. A few days later, on January 9, another rally was held in response to the protests of Tasua and Ashura 1388, called by the Coordination Council of Islamic Advertising, chaired by Sheikh Ahmad Jannati.

The speech at this rally was delivered by Seyyed Ahmad Alamolhoda, a member of the Assembly of Experts from Mashhad and the Friday Prayer Imam of the city.

During his speech at the event, he regarded the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist as the result of the drop-by-drop blood of those who 'went in front of the hot bullets with dry chests' and referred to those who insult the principle of the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist as 'a bunch of goat kids and calves.'

The report of this rally was broadcast live by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting."
