According to some sources, Major General Ali Neshat, a senior commander of the Imperial Army, was born on September 5, 1923.

In the final years of the Pahlavi regime, Neshat commanded the Immortal Guard, a unit responsible for protecting the Shah and the royal family. After the 1979 revolution, he was arrested and executed in April 1979.
