20 Judicial Cases Filed for Violations at Tabriz International Hospital

Recently, a strange news was published about the violation of the chemotherapy staff of the Vali-e-Asr International Hospital in Tabriz regarding the injection of distilled water instead of the chemotherapy drug and the sale of this drug in the open market, which caused concern for the patients treated in this hospital.

Colonel Mohammad Taghi Soltani, the head of the East Azerbaijan Intelligence Police, said about the latest situation in the case of violations by the chemotherapy staff of Tabriz International Hospital: "Following the announcement of the theft of medicines for special patients in one of the hospitals in Tabriz city, detectives from the Criminal Crimes Department were immediately present at the scene and took action to investigate the situation in the field."

With judicial coordination, one of the hospital's assistant nurses was first arrested as a suspect and was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Police, which after technical and scientific investigations, confessed and announced the names of three of his accomplices, all of whom were arrested and confessed to the crime attributed to him, and announced that the referees were transferring and selling drugs to the open market in Tehran after the robbery.  

According to the investigations conducted by the detectives of this police, there is a possibility that certain patients will die as a result of not using the drug purchased 

 Asghar Jafari Rouhi, the deputy of treatment at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, commented on the dimensions of the violations committed at Tabriz International Hospital: "It is clear that this incident took place in this hospital and in the field of chemotherapy of cancer patients and that the medical staff committed errors and violations."

Emphasizing that these violations were individual and several people took this action personally, he added: "The incidents were not related to the hospital system, and even the identification of these violations and the introduction of people related to this violation were done by the hospital."

The judicial system has requested the treatment department to collect the cases of patients in this ward from March 21 of this year, and soon all these files and reports related to the number of patients and the cases that exist in the scope and scope of this violation will be submitted to the judicial system.

At the same time, Jafari Rouhi announced that the patients who came to this hospital to receive services in chemotherapy topics were outpatient and said: "There was no record of this part of the patients in the hospital's systems and it is not accurate."

He also expressed his ignorance about the duration of these violations in this medical and health service center and said: "All these aspects are being investigated, but most of the violations are related to expensive drugs in the chemotherapy and cancer sectors."

 Regarding such violations, especially in the field of treatment, which are irreparable and the victims of such incidents never return to normal life, the vice chancellor of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences said: "Violations and errors in the field of health care are unforgivable, even one tenth of a percent, and citizens should be sure that the field of treatment will investigate all aspects and pursue the issue until the violators are dealt with legally."

Jafari Rouhi related this violation to the personal aspect and personal abuses, which should not undermine the efforts of activists in this sector in the eyes of the people and citizens, because profiteers and for personal interests have used this turbulent market for personal interests and have been violated.

 He acknowledged: "This violation has been identified and monitored by the hospital and its monitoring systems, but these inspections must be carried out with full precision and comprehensiveness so that we do not witness such bitter incidents in any way."
