In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi, Iran's Minister of Health, clarified the confusion regarding the rate of "type 2 preferential currency" allocated to pharmaceuticals for the upcoming year. Responding to a question about whether the rate would be 28,500 Toman or 55,000-60,000 Toman, he confirmed that the intended rate is 28,500 Toman. This clarification came after some ambiguity about the proposed exchange rate for the preferential currency for 2024 .
